Regrettably, I had my third twenty-ninth birthday on April 16th. So, in mourning of another birthday, I had a week-long birthday extravaganza. Friday night before my birthday at Ghostbar with work friends...
Then, Monday night at Daughtry/ Bon Jovi for a girls night out...
I spent a quiet evening with my dear family on my actual birthday. It was kind of like the eight nights of Hanukkah, only in birthday form. I think they should add to the length of your birthday celebration each year. But then, I quit having birthdays a couple of years ago, so the rule wouldn't do me much good. I figure I will continue to be twenty-nine for the next few years. When Will hits thirteen or fourteen, I might have to reconsider, though.
Both kiddoes are growing by the day. Will started playing soccer this spring. He thinks is the world's next Pele. Here's Will, hard at work at practice...
Now, if we could get him to score as many goals in the right goal as he does for the other team, we might have a superstar on our hands. Alas, he is only four. So, his scoring is equal for both teams. He "wants to make sure the other team gets some points too!"
April 22nd, the whole family went to the Rowlett Safety Expo. The kids got to sit in a hook and ladder fire truck...

They also got to see one of the Life Flight helicopters and talk to the crew...
All Katie talked about for the next three days were the "peece cars," "fire trucks," and"peece occifers." The kids had a blast and experienced alot of really neat things.
This last weekend, Will and Katie's cousin, Maddie, celebrated her fifth birthday. Katie and Maddie got to play dress up like Hannah Montana at Libby Lu. First, Katie got her hair and makeup done...
Then, the girls got to dance their little tailfeathers off to the birthday song...
I had no idea that our two year-old could be so prissy at such an early age. Katie looked at me, batted her eyelashes and said, "Mommy, I do sassy." The girls had a blast and we had fun watching them. They truly grow up too fast.
